Puma owner here. Had a 2013 TT 23ft no slide. Time for some extra room. Just took delivery of a 25ft RKQB. Loved the old one. No problems ever.
In the new one, it’s very nice but
1. No way to upgrade to material covered dinette and sofa instead of plastic like fake leather.
2. No way to open egress fire escape window in bedroom for fresh air.. Am I wrong? Is there a way?
3. No good spot for a trash can.
4. No way to upgrade mattress. The one that came is a bag of chopped plastic fiber. Before we could order an upgraded mattress. I put a good topper on it.
5..TV was extra and not included on any package for this model.
So it seems like FR has downgraded a lot of their product and I hope for the same good results from this trailer.

On your #2. When you unclip metal arm and maneuver it to be straight you can push the arm towards the outside and it will click by the read handle and stay open for air.

#4 I upgraded my own mattress for cheaper than it would have cost adding it from dealer.

#5. Same with the TVs most do not come with Televisions now and the price you can get one from Walmart or another store is cheaper than manufacture add on or dealer.

#1. If you did not order your trailer from manufacturer that limited your choice of color and material. I ordered mine from the factory and was able to choose color scheme and material from 4 choices. Dealer is not going to change that after it’s on his lot.

#3.. may be floor plan. Not many have good out of way place for garbage can.

I have not had no complaints on my puma.

Thanks for the info on the window. That is most important for me. I was concerned about how long I would have to wait to order from factory. We don’t have kids or pets in trailer so just will take care of stuff.

We just joined the puma owners club this weekend. We bought a very gently used 2013 puma unleashed 27sbu. Come on spring.

Just picked up a 2021 20RLC. Getting it ready for our first outing in 2 weeks. Definitely a step up from our 2008 flagstaff popup.

My bride and I recently picked up the 28RKQS. We’re first time RV owners and are loving it. Glad to have found this forum!

Puma 351 thss

Nomad
My Dear Wife and I have owned a Puma 351THSS for almost 10 years now. It has been a great rig. We have pulled it across many states. All the way to Homer Alaska and back. It has held up pretty well but you can only imagine the beating it took. I can say with all honesty that it has been a lot of bang for the buck. We recently sold it and upgraded to another rig. We got a really good resell price and I will say that it was a good overall investment. We had lots of good times with friends and family and we wish you and your bride many good times in the future.
Happy and Safe Travels.

Hey there, just put in a order for a 25rkqb hoping to take delivery in June. Our plans or notes for what you posted.

1- we went with the stardust/granite finish. Seemed to be a soft fabric type of material we liked the few of instead of the pleather in the darker color.

2- looks like someone else mentioned it opens and can be held by pressure

3- we plan to find a stainless one that fits in the back driver side corner kind of in front of the pantry and corner next to the slide. We are probably willing to have a taller one the blocks the bottom pantry door and will only store stuff used from time to time there.

4- the order sheet did have a Serra upgrade option for $200 but I just plan to by a decent 10”-12” memory foam mattress once the factory one dents in.

5- I wasn’t sure I wanted the Furrion it comes with and I made sure to not check the box for a TV and the dealer still put it on the order sheet. Figure it may be better for the bedroom and moving in and out to the outside mount while under warranty since their supposed to be made better for that and put a nicer TCL or LG from Costco in the living area.

We fell in love with this layout in one we saw but not the darker colors. Cant wait to get ours hopefully in June or sooner.

Puma Ultra Lite 2021

We purchased Oct 20 Puma Ultra Lite 2021 with a slide out. We just tried to open the slide out and it moves a couple inches then stops. If we toggle the switch it will move slightly each time. Of course 1 month out of warranty. Would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions as we need to open it and get it winterized. Thank you

Sorry to hear about that. Get some dry lube for slideouts and get under there.
Make sure there is nothing jamming the gears. Try your manual crank to see if that works.

This thread was started in 2007 with folks that had just bought a 2008 26RLSS. Seems fitting to join in at this point. My wife and I bought our 2008 26RLSS in 2010 and have towed it over 30,000 miles. We are Floridians, so it is a long haul to see the western states. We have done the SW three times, going as far as Seattle and I-90 back to SD and down once. Michigan/Indiana four times, and several trips to Georgia and around Florida. We love the layout of the large slide that yields a nice living/kitchen area. OEM fridge, A/C, heater, stove, brakes, slide mechanics, basic construction all doing well. Over the years and miles, we have replaced the battery charger, hot water heater, microwave, jackknife sofa and lounge chairs with upgraded furniture, and the bedroom mattress. We are contracted to get a new RV-Armor roof coating in the spring, so I won't need to climb around the roof as much. I spent COVID lockdowns painting the frame with Rustoleum 2-in-1 Rust Reform & Seal plus POR15 on the axles, springs, and exposed tongue area. I think we are on our third set of tires. I use GY Endurance now. We have never had a blowout or other tire issue on the road. We bought a 2020 Ford F-150 with 3.5 L Eco boost and the max tow package to replace the original tow vehicle a Ram 1500 V-8 5.7. We intend to drive this Puma as long as we are able to do so safely. We are in our upper 70's. I actually prefer the aluminum siding to fiberglass because I have a 23 y/o fiberglass boat, and I really think that the aluminum is less difficult to maintain in the long run. So, yeah, there are Puma owners on this forum. See you out there.
