Does Forest River still own Puma? I was looking at the FR website and they don't have the Pumas on there anymore. I know Palamino manufactures the Pumas correct? I found the old Puma website it hasn't been updated with 2012 models.

Just brought home 2012 Puma 18DB after selling our 2006 Winnebago Journey
motor home. Couldn't afford diesel at $4.00 per gallone any more. Wow, where
did all my storage space go!

Hey all, another new Puma owner here! 2011 30kfbds. It is a fantastic layout and a great value. My only complaint has to be the lack of wire protection and sparse use of electrical tape to wrap the wires. I've already been under there to remedy that. Otherwise a great unit! I have done a few mods to it, the best being tying in my two grey water tanks...doubling my capacity and now only one dump valve! Its a good rig that I hope lasts many years.

How did you protect your wiring?

Thanks

We purchased a Puma 23fb 2 weeks ago and have just been so happy with it. Great layout for us. Only thing I wished it had and maybe it does just missed it was a 12volt cigarette lighter style plug.

We've had our Puma 30 FQSS since it was new in 2005. What sold me on it was the optional Puma Premier Package. This included some great niceties that gave it the feel of a much more expensive unit.

The separate front master bedroom with solid six panel door and seperate rear bedroom for the kids are good things. Concertone 5.1 DVD w/ sub woofer still going strong. I opened up an access door to get at the additional wiring on the DVD unit so I could add "C" outdoor speaker wires. Wired the radio into the TV back of the amplified antenna due to lack luster radio reception from the standard supplied whip. Changed out some of the interior lights with lower wattage bulbs for longer battery life. Added a second battery to the system. Added another row of outdoor grill mount racks so we have additional areas to attach the outdoor grill.

Just replaced the lumpy factory "short queen" mattress in the master bedroom with a real Sealy Posturepedic. Wow, major difference.

Wish list includes adding ignitors to the stove/ oven, installing permanent outdoor marine speakers, adding a reversible fan in the master bedroom ceiling vent, adding a power coupler jack and replacing the failure prone trailer tires with some real truck tires.

There are some minor issues we have dealt with over the years that seem to be common in the industry such as leftover production sawdust and drill chips, piping near the Sure-flow pump that needed to be re-routed for quieter operation, leveling of interior light switches and replacement of the cheap Chinese tires.

Recently found this forum and I feel our PUMA has been a great value compared to other brands. I think that's what these units are designed for.

BBB,

Sometimes it is the simple things in life and for me to see your Puma post NOT complaining about your Concertone is a simple pleasure... Thanks! :-)

Do you have any pic of how you tied the tanks together. I would like for to do mine the same way.

I just purchased the 2012 Puma 31DBTS. Does anyone else have this style of camper? Wondering how it has been for you. I have only used it once.

On your stereo, you should have different Zones, on mine I have A, B, and C. A is the main room speakers, B is the bedroom speakers, and C is the outside speakers. They can be set to all, some, or nothing in any combo.

Paul, did yours come with the Stereo? My 23FB didn't but it had the speakers. The Wires and power for stereo if you want to add one are behind the box cabinet where the stereo would normally go. Thats how it was for me. I had to punch out the flimsy panel.

Its been a very full camping season!... The grey water tank mod has worked out better than I had imagined! The pics aren't great, and theres proper hangers in place now, but you can get the idea... This is something the factory needs to do!
