This works well for road bikes/hybrids/mountain bikes. The fork mount holds the bikes securely and staggered so handlebars don't hit and the rear tires rest on the cargo tray cross members. How about expanded aluminum mesh.
Much lighter, less expensive, dirt and other debris may fall thru or be washed thru with ease.
