after reading comments here is my take .

I was trying to think of a new person coming into the forums looking for either tt or 5th wheel SPECIFIC info . HE or SHE might not care less if he or she is getting good info for a 5th wheel if he or she looking for info on a tt

Now if they was looking to learn about 5th wheel model or brand specific info he has to first weed out 40 + posts about a wdh which he could care less about.

Or they might not want to read about 60 posts about reviews and or thoughts on a tt .

They may not also want to read about 20 posts about an electric tongue jack.

And the big one would be universal but maybe they do not want to read 100 + posts "can my tv pull this tt" instead all they want to read is "can my tv pull this 5er" .

Most of you that have commented on this post are here daily and are used to the way things are maybe some are resistant to change .

I think you should think of the ease for a newbie and not so much how it affects you who are here everyday for hours on end .

No one has yet to answer me about a few things .

Can you not go look in two different areas for info ? Is it that tough ?

Why are the toy haulers separate ? Do they not share the same features as a tt or a 5er with the exception of a large door in the back ?

Cross info ? what difference does it make ? if you have to jump out of the tt section to go read something in the 5er section ?

You jump out of the tt/5er section to go look at towing info or the welcome mat .

I am just trying to get my point across !

And by the way

yes to separate travel trailers from 5th wheels
no to leave it the same .

every other forum I have been to seperates things like this I just was putting my info out there thank you.

Herk, maybe its me but I read the NO's in the beginning of the stream to mean "keep it combined" are you saying those votes are backwards and should have been yes? based on the wording of the question you are correct but I am not sure the poll is now?

Hence my post about the erroneous poll. I was not the only one confused.

Turbo: Your thread is well intended and I do understand your motive, however i suspect most posting members can navigate the site well and get the info they need. If a topic has been discussed in the past, depending on when and where it was posted, it can sometimes be difficult to find. As a member for over a year, I find it refreshing to see new members asking question, even if it has been asked before. Information may change, other members may offer a different opinion and even old dogs can learn new information. I have seen new members getting criticized for asking questions that may have been asked in the past. That kind of irks me, but eh, who am i to complain. I may have irked other members in the past too. But all is good.

Well I threw my vote away then. Lets start over with a better question or better choices.

As for Toy Haulers having their own "space", there are things very specific to them that others never dream of. How many other campers have "tie down" rings? How many other campers have a "Fueling Station"? Yes they have a big back door, but have a few odds about them that others don't. And by the way, there are bumper pull toy haulers, and 5th wheel toy haulers, but they aren't separated on here.

I think seperating sub-models of each "brand" would be more beneficial. Some of the sub-models of the same brand are more different than TT vs. 5er. Also as far as navigating the site, no its not hard if you belong to one forum you should be able to generally navigate most. Newbies will not search and continue to ask questions that have been answered no matter how the information is organized.

Your poll. Just saying the data might not be reliable.

Your choices are:

Do nothing and let it run
I can edit the wording; but not the votes already cast (I don't think).
I close the thread and let you start a new one

Up to you.
