Wrong direction. They would need composite TO component. But as I said...the TV is already equipped to accept composite through the GREEN Y jack on the component input.

We have a similar problem on our Blue Ridge and, after much trial and error, discovered that whether we get a picture is dependent on which appliance we power up first, the TV or the DVD player. It works one way but not the other.

Sorry I can't remember which comes first ( I have to figure it out each year) and we have not opened up the fiver yet for this season. Silly, I know, but that's what works for us.

It would be the DVD player first. When the TV comes on second, it would then recognize the DVD. We have a Samsung that does not show the DVD port until the DVD is actually on. Once the DVD is on the port appears. That could be what is happening with yours.

On our Sony, the TV can be on, but when a disc is put into the player, it automatically switches to the DVD port. Much more convenient.
