Where are you guys that have the cover over your hitch putting your inspection sticker?

In PA, the sticker goes in a driver side window on the camper.
My garage puts it on my kitchen vent window.

In Virginia the inspector will decide as per the State Police inspection guidelines. It is his or her licence on the line. Having said that I have had them even put them on a side window on a TT years ago here normally they put it on the hitch. They will probably put it on the front outer corner on the drivers side if they can't put it on the hitch. My box trailer sticker is there.

They can be put on the driver's side a frame area as well. This way not on your window.

I would imagine scraping the old one off the window would be a LOT easier than scraping it off the frame.

Oh that's fine. They come off pretty easy.. Just did not want to think they had to be on the window.

In Texas, they have started putting it next to the data plate(sticker) for the trailer. On mine that is the left side front propane door.

How the heck would they get it off there without damaging the door?

In VA it has to be on the drivers side "front area" of the camper. They usually go for the 5th wheel pin box, but since I have the cover, I was ok with the inspector placing the sticker next to the weight sticker on the left front part of the unit.

In Michigan we don't need them stinkin stickers. I have relatives in PA and some of those cars have 2,3,4 stickers on their vehicles . Really looks good. I guess them inspections are good for something though. It keeps the state from going broke

They just stick the next one on top of the last one...

Here might be a dumb question, where do you get an inspection? We have only owned our first TT for five months so this is all new to me.

Thanks,

Randy

We've never had 1 trailer (RV, utility or cargo) inspected. It is required, and I heard recently where they were starting to write citations for it. Don't know. I guess one day if I'm close to an inspection place, I'll get one. So, that's 6 trips to get all of our trailers. Stinks.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

Your RV dealer will inspect and any truck/trailer shop can do it.
I get mine done at Grows Truck in Feasterville, PA.

(I would not give my RV dealer the time of day)

Was always told to keep it with the registration for the trailer by the mechanic that inspected the trailer in NY.

In Texas any place that is an official state inspection station can inspect your RV and put a sticker on it. They placed mine on the kitchen window on the drivers side. The same place that inspects my truck and DW's Jeep inspected our RV. If it's not motorized the cost is 1/2 that of a motorized vehicle.

Inspector put mine on my 5ers pinbox, drivers side.
In the past few years, the inspectors put them on the passenger side frame by the tongue on the TT.
In the distant past, it was put on a window.

In Texas it is all about to GVWR of the trailer. IIRC, the cutoff in TX is 3500 lbs, the same as the brake requirement. As far as where, in theory any place that does inspections and had a trailer endorsement can do it. In practice, trailer and RV shops are the only ones with the space to do the brake test (at least in urban areas).

You can always take a hair dryer or heat gun and remove them.
