Issue with my lippert slide mechanism on my Palamino fifth wheel
Hello all! I have a 2016 Columbus F377MBC. We don't tow it, it stays at the beach campground year round. We bought it at the Hershey show to replace our 20 year old Dutchman. I've had the Palomino since 2016. Last year, our large slider had an issue going out at the beginning of the season. We started it manually, then it moved just fine after that. It did the same thing this season. I moved it out manually about an inch and tried again with the switch. It moved a bit then hung again. I went to move it more manually, and the manual crack rod had moved in to the frame. I thought that was odd, but, cranked it manually again about 2 inches. The switch worked to run it out, but is got stuck again about 5" before fully deployed. I took the bottom cover off, and saw that the flange on the hat channel that the lipert mechanism attaches to actually BROKE (see image). This trailer is only 4 years old and is now out of warranty. My question is, is this something's that's happened to others? It seems odd that the bracket would actually break; the motor is supposed to racket (which mine does) when the slider get hung up. I find it odd that it broke. Still trying to figure out how to fix the bracket.
