Got my camper back today after getting a brand new rubber roof and had a ladder added on. Sorry for the sideways pics.

I have an 23LB and I absolutely wanted to install a ladder. The first thing I did was cut off the bottom J shaped support legs and mounted the ladder directly on the rear bumper. I believe this places the majority of the climber's weight directly on the bumper with very little weight on the support pegs. When installing the support pegs, instead of using the supplied screws, I used bolts going right through the wall using large washers for added support. I also added a third set of support pegs for added strength. Of course the sight of those washers and nuts are not very pretty, but since they're on the back wall of the bunk area, they're pretty much out of sight. One of the things I wanted not to do is put holes in the roof. I therefore choose not to anchor the ladder to the roof and left a gap between the ladder and roof. The third set of support pegs that I added near the roof adds extra support for the hand rails. I feel confident that I have a rock-solid ladder that's not coming loose. Larry G.
