I've had this issue with my Rockwood. I've sheared two bolts, always on the driver's side of the camper, the original and a replacement Grade 8! I carry many extras now! I think my issue was self caused and was when i retracted the gear too far and causes the motor to shift a bit and hit the bolt head and shearing it. Got it leveled out the first time, but didn't spend the extra time the second time round, so I'm about 1/8" to 1/4" off. Need to take a minute soon and adjust as it drives me crazy, even though it is just the right height to put a small yellow foot pad under to level out prior to putting the gear all the way down.

Ps: I'm going to get some extra shear pins also.

These are actually from one of the slides, but it is the same type of shear pin. Just follow the square drive shaft that connects the 2 landing gear drives to the left or right and you will see a similar looking nut & bolt. Let me know if you need more visuals and I'll snap a few pics next time I go out there.

This is one of my mods. now I never have to worry about level. Just twist it a couple of time and level.

I hadn't seen that leveler product before. I carry several small poly cutting boards that I use for "fine adjustment" between geard pin holes, but for the money, I think I may give the leg leverler a try...

But...even though there are many ways to adjust the level, I agree with buckeyechuck. I like starting with both gears exactly the same distance from the frame.
