""Leaf spring issue""

We have a 2014 33ckts and on our way home from camping on sunday i discovered a broken leaf spring on the front drivers side. It snapped the single leaf that heads up to the front shackle or hanger. Anyone out their ever have that happen? I blame it on a shity grid road that use to be pavement but just curious if any other issues out their.

Thanks

I have read about this happening, though have not personally experienced it on either of my Palomino trailers, a Sabre and a Columbus. If it is under warranty, you might consider requesting that both axles are replaced with 7,000# axles as yours probably has 6,000# axles now. There usually is an I.D. Sticker on the axle tube. If it's not under warranty, contact Lippert. Good luck.

I broke a leaf a couple years ago. My local spring guy said it happens. He put in a new leaf and sent me on my way. It's not a big deal.

they had a funky 23.5 inch spring in the 80s i think for a while. they broke all the time. the replacement springs did better. maybe were overdue for a run of bad springs??

I'm still trying to figure out why mine leans, I suspected a broken spring but I can't see anything wrong with it.

It happens now and again.

I found some nasty stretches of road & RR crossings in Saskatchewan near Moose Jaw and thought I might snap a spring on my last SOB. The springs did flatten out on that trip to the point I had to replace them.

We have a 2013 Sabre 33CKTS-6 and was only 4 months old when we had a spring go - then discovered one was already gone - all 4 sets were replaced under warranty. Luckily, we were very close to a major city and Forest River dealer there so no real delay.

It's my understanding that my some of springs are very flattened. But nothing appears to be broken.
