Manual Slide Operation

Any guesses out there if I use the below bit, a flexible drill extension and an 18V battery operated drill if I might be able to open and close my slides in an emergency? Maybe a power drill will do better? I have no access for a crank and prefer not to use a ratchet.

I have one that looks just like that, but I have never tried to use it.
I'd be using it with the same 20V cordless drill I use on my stabilizers.

I cannot get straight in with the drill hence the extension. I guess I will buy the bit, not too expensive and the extension I will by at Home Depot so I can return if it doesn't work. I will need the bit and a ratchet if the drill thing doesn't work.
