Manually Extend/Retract slides

So looking at the manual method for Extending or Retracting my slides I would need a slotted bit and because of the placement or the screw I could never get a crank or drill in there so I would need to use a drill/flexible shaft and bit. One thing that scares the heck out of me is being stuck with a slide out and not being able to move. Would just like to have a backup incase.

Any suggestions? How powerful of a drill would I need?
