Mattress Toppers

Anyone found a good, comfortable mattress topper? Not sure the factory mattress will sleep as well as the one in the house.

In my opinion, you just can't beat a memory foam mattress topper. We have been using one full time for over a year and would not trade it.

Mattress Topper

Any recommendations on brand/manufacturer? Any thickness recommendations? Thanks for the quick response!

We picked up ours from Costco, don't remember the brand, but it is about 4" thick. We used the original mattress with the topper for a bit and it made it comfortable, then was able to get a Certa mattress and still use the topper, this combination is better than the original mattress.

Thanks for the info. DW thinks we should go with the 4" as well. Have a Tempur-pedic in the house and have had it for several years. We will surely notice the difference the first night out if we don't do something!!

We got ours from Kohls. I dare say it's more comfortable than our bed at home!

Yep, we did not even try the original mattress without a topper, I had laid on it for a bit when we brought it home and decided that it would "require" a topper.

It was fairly expensive- we bought it when we caught it on sale and then she had recently spent money so she had Kohls cash and it made it affordable.

Why not get a foam mattress with integral memory foam topper? That's what we did and it only cost around $200 at a mattress shop. Very comfortable.

We went through 2 foam toppers in the house. In less than a year, they each ended up with permanent depressions in them (from body weight) and we ended up going with a mattress with a built-in topper. Not sure if there is good memory foam and bad memory foam out there. Also, the toppers tend to move around a bit which is annoying. We would never use any kind of a topper again.

Have the exact same one as ependydad. Even the DW who didn't want memory foam for the house loves it. Just got another coupon from kohls and going to buy a couple for the kids beds now.

We have been eyeing the one at Costco since last summer. We plan to buy it before our next trip this spring. We sleep on a memory foam mattress at home and I just can sleep on anything else anymore. Hopefully the topper woll be enough. My parents just got rid of their mattress in the Sabre completely and bought a memory foam one from Costco for 500 bucks. They loved it so much they bought one for home too.

We have tried a few. Our favorites came from Amazon and IKEA believe it or not.

Everyone's preference is different I suppose, but we also tried one from Kohls, Walmart, and TJ Maxx. We tried memory foam and filled versions. We liked the Ikea one because it was kind of like a hybrid between memory foam and filled.

Just couldn't do the factory one

We took one trip with the factory trip and I was in pain after first night. Went to Costco and bought a 17 inch pillow top deluxe mattress and a 2 inch memory foam topper. Figure if I'm to spend a lot time in bed have to be comfortable. Gave the factory mattress away to first person who would take it. Now its someone else's pain.

Don't! Go to Foam Factory (web site) and just order 3" pieces of their high quality foam. I got it just before our Christmas trip for the beds for my in-laws and they're really happy. It wasn't too expensive and I think cheaper than what toppers from Kohls would have been.
