Measuring a Pop-Up

Iíve agreed to help some elderly ladies sell their 1998 Palomino Mustang Camper. One is fighting cancer and the other has other health issues. I pulled it home today. It has been sitting for three years in their driveway. The exterior needs a good cleaning and I will have to address some rust on the bumper, tongue, and side rails, but it is light and should clean up fine. I was surprised how clean the interior was when I opened it. It had a little mold on the ceiling which is coming off easily and some bugs folded into the canvas sides which I am vacuuming and wiping down. I couldnít find any books with it and wondered what the length of it is. How do you measure the length of a pop-up?

Thanks,
John

Pop-up are usually measured from the size of the camper box (the hard sided body area). Most are 8', 10' or 12' long is the "box section". You also want to note the size of the end beds (double, queen or king sized).
It is nice of you to help them out!

Chuck,

The box is about 13’ 3” in length. One bed is about 68” wide and the other is 58” wide.

I bet the camper box angles out in the center.
If you measure along the bottom, at the floor level, It is probably closer to 12'. If it's13' that's fine, it's just not an industry "standard" (as RV standards go, that is).
I would says the smaller bed is a full sized. The larger one is larger than a queen, but not as large as a king. Call it a Queen Plus.
