Mor/ryde Pin Box Question

I just had a Mor/Ryde Pin Box installed on my Sabre, but they had to remove the (cool looking) White plastic Pin Box cover /cowling. They told me it would interfere with the Pin movement.

but...

In my case, the pin had to be lowered below the cover to accomodate the short height of my 2WD Ram so it looks like the pin should clear the cover.

Does anyone out there have a simiular situation to report on?

I would say that if there is clearance between the bottom of the pinbox and the cover it would be ok in theory. I don't know how strong that cover would be though as it would no longer be attached to the front of the pinbox as it is from the factory..... On another note, has the mor/ryde improved how your Sabre tows? I too have found some of our Michigan roads that create the awful chucking effect with our 34TBOK.
Sorry about the above post..... Slight fat finger!!!

Yes it did help quite a bit. One particular stretch of highway that produced significant Jerking before was now very smooth. However on another notoriously rough road it had little effect.

All in all I'm glad I did the upgrade and am sorry I didn't have it done at the factory.
