need advice for Installing TV Mount in Puma 25RS

We want to install a TV Mount in the kitchen area of our new Puma 25RS. There is a piece of plywood for it in the wall. But, my concern is that on the other side of the wall is the shower.

Anyone know how thick the board is and how deep I can go without penetrating through the shower stall?

3/4 to one inch is as long as I would go.

Keep in mind that the sticker that says "TV mount" is not in the center of the plywood backer. I would advise taking the smallest drill bit you can find and drill a test hole first. Just make sure you don't drill through the other side of the wall. I have a 25RS and found that both places with backer boards the little sticker was at or above the top of the plywood. I missed the first attempt in both places. I would guess the plywood thickness to be abut 1/2", they use the least material they can find to keep weight down. I also remove both televisions and lay them face down on the bed when traveling since there is no way to secure them on the wall other than the mount itself. I believe I used 3/4" screws also.

I have a Puma 23FB and the TV mount is on the wall between the dinette and the shower. I think I used an 1 1/2" lag screw. I was also able to measure the wall thickness at the door jamb. I mounted a 32" TV on a wall mount and tightened the hinges so it doesn't move. Over 12k miles, some on very bumpy gravel roads in Alaska. Still rock solid.

I also used a stud finder to locate the edges of the plywood. Good idea to drill a small hole through the plywood and probe the depth with just the drill bit.

I made a 14X14 block out of poplar and attached it to the TV plate, then attached my TV mount and the TV. Slide out still clears and it provides more air circulation for the TV which can over heat, and also provides more room to swivel the tv.

I used a TV mount with a bracket on the wall and I can remove the arm with the TV on it. Used 1 inch wood screws with wood glue in the threads. Holding good so far.
