Can anyone recommend a campground in the St. Louis area. I would prefer not to mess around in town A 15-20 mile ride to get in for the day is fine and preferred.
My two suggestions would be Lakeside 370 RV park in St. Charles, MO. It is about a 30 minute drive from there to the heart of downtown St. Louis. Disadvantage is there is no shade in the campground because it is a relatively new campground. It is a very nice park though and very close to the Interstate Highway system.
My other choice would be the St. Louis West KOA in Eureka, MO. If you have kids, this park is very close to Six Flags. The KOA is about 30 minutes from downtown also and close to Interstate 44.
