Need Help With New Kitchen Sprayer

I need to find a replacement spray nozzle for my kitchen faucet. True to form there is no name on the unit and I am not really good at plumbing. There are plenty of universal ones for sale on EBay but I do not understand how to measure. I sort of figured out that this is a IPS fitting because it takes a screen washer to make the seal vs the thread making the seal. Does that sound correct? Any help would be appreciated very much.

You are correct about the type of threads. I have never seen a faucet spray head with NPT threads, but I have seen various bastard-sized threads from Chinese faucets. For the most part, though, they are the same and most will thread onto your existing hose. The tricky part is finding a head that fits properly into the spout. Those sizes vary widely. Looking at your picture tells me you dont have to worry about that, though, because the hose connection is what is going to connect your head to the spout.
