Need some color help

Close to pulling the trigger on a Sabre 32 RCTS-6. Only problem is, we have never seen one. My local dealer (only dealer in Arizona) doesn't have any as of yet. They will be getting some models in a couple of weeks but they are in all in white. I need to get a truck and want the the 32RCTS with the "Platinum Edition Exterior".

Does anyone have a unit with that color option? Is it a brown, grey? I hate to get a brown truck for a grey unit.

Any help is appreciated.

I have the TBOK '13 in Platinum. Withn the decals it is gray and some maroon. The gel is brown and a creme color. By chance my truck is gray. Looks phenominal together.

I don't think you will go wrong.There is a combo of all the colors you asked of

Check out the Any 36QBOK Owners out there thread. Lots of photos and there is another forum member that has a brown (I think) truck with the platinum edition.

The cap looks like it has a lot of grey. Is that true?

The cap does have alot of darker grey.

That is not the color I am trying to figure out. I think the color in the photo is a "partial paint" option and not the "Platinum Edition Exterior" The units now are available in a standard white or this Platinum color. You can check out the Sabre web site to see what I am talking about.

I'm pretty sure that is the new paint scheme. Look at the placement and shape of the Burgandy Sabre decal on the front cap and the black trim around garage doors. I looked at the Sabre web site pic and it looks the same to me.

The brown/cream background color might look washed out in the 1st link I provided but the graphics are the same. If you go to my Photobucket link below you'll see the partial paint scheme on my Sabre.

I was told by the Sabre rep that there was plenty of headroom in this unit in the bedroom. He stated he was 5'9" and still had several inches of headroom. Does anyone know if you were say 6'0" if you could freely walk around everywhere in the bedroom without ducking?


Sorry for all the questions but the closest unit to us is well over 1000 mile away.

I am 6' even and have spent 5 nights in mine since 9 March 2013. I have not one time had to duck except to get into the closet to set shoes on the shoe rack. I sleep on the forward side, closest to the closet doors and I haven't had one issue needing to duck.

Honestly, we love it. Nothing I would change except some boneheaded and costly mistakes by me. The rig is awesome. The DW and I looked for a very long time at several different competitors and finally decided on the 32RCTS, the close second was the 33CKTS. One of our deciding factors was the movable island, "just in case" one or two of the kids wanted to go along, we could move it and blow up an air mattress. For 99% of the time, that will not be an issue so the island provided storage that DW "had to have". The large bathroom is nice. I had plenty of room in the shower, and feet didn't hang off the bed. Purchased a 4"topper for the mattress from walmart (could have gotten by with 3") and it is working great. We really do like the unit. It pulls very well! We liked the Sabre exterior graphics as well. All in all, we are happy with our decision, and hope you are too. Advice, read this forum! There are so many knowledgeable members on here eager to help and they have been worth gold to me!

Thanks so much, hope you don't mind if I keep asking questions. On the kitchen island, do you need to secure it during travel or just lock the wheels? In the pictures I have seen it is secured on its side with straps between the chairs. I cannot imagine emptying it and turning it on its side each time we move.

We also started with the 33 but wanted it a bit shorter.

I am new to 5th wheels. As far as your mistakes anything I need to watch for?

Ask as many questions as you want! Honestly, I have!!!! (leave it alone, Turbs!).

Yes, I secure the island during travel. I turn both recliners to the side, slide the island in between, lock down the wheels, and tie it down with the straps designed to secure the recliners. It fits like a perfect recliner/island sandwich. The recliners are cushioned where they touch the wall and rock back and forth very slightly. I have put some miles on it configured like this and so far so good. I will come up with a better way to secure the island as the factory provided nylon black straps have a tendency to slide off the rounded corners of the solid surface island counter top.

I am new to 5th wheels too. This is my first camper that wasnt' rented or borrowed. I really do like it. We also wanted a bit shorter. The 32 RCTS was perfect, 33CKTS was a bit longer.

As for my mistakes , verify with a voltmeter what the power being supplied to the receptacle is BEFORE you plug into it.

Even with my trailer I ALWAYS do a polarity check and voltage check. I purchased a 30AMP to 20AMP jumper cable at Wally World, a $5.00 plug in polarity checker at Home Depot and a plug in voltmeter on EBay. I never plug in without doing this or making sure the breaker is off.

Pain spending $$ on mistakes.

Does the 32 RCTS have one sewer outlet or two. I know it has two grey tanks but hopefully I don't need to do that "Y" thing and set up two hoses.

It's all connected. 1 grey water tank for the sink/shower, 1 black water for toilet, 1 grey water for kitchen sink. 3 seperate handles for dumping each tank and they dump from the same outlet. I dump the black tank first, hook up the hose to the black tank flush run it for a bit, then dump it, then the 2 grey tanks.....to wash out the outlet before I disconnect the drain hose.
