New 2 me Puma 27FQ

Just bought a 2012 Puma 27FQ, it says dry weight is 5138, we have 2013 Dodge Durango with the 3.6 V6, it says I can tow 6200 lb. my question is are the Dry Weights in these Puma's accurate or should I be worried?

Read the owners manual for the truck.
Read this too.

Congrats on new Puma we have had two Pumas Love them.......

Dry weight means ALMOST nothing....... it is the trailer coming from the factory with nothing in it (No gas, no water, no camping gear, nothing added to the trailer at all & etc).... Gross to me is more important as it tells you want you can haul in the trailer.... Best way to know if you are ok is to load up ready for camping & go to a CAT scale weigh the combo, truck & trailer then weigh the truck alone. Just a guess but your trailer probably weighs around 6200lbs.

Oaklevel, thanks for the advise. I am aware of the difference between dry weight and loaded weight. We knew we are goi g to have to pack lite ie not traveling with water in the tanks. Have your Pumas pulled nicely? Like I said as long as Puma didn't lie in their sticker and Dodge isn't lying about their tow capacity, as long as I load conservatively I am honoring to be ok. We got the Equilizer hitch system with 10lb weight bars and the Durango has anti-sway technology. So here's to hoping and praying.

Pumas pull great overall great trailers for the money................ The sticker is when it left the factory anything added later would add to the weight........I personally think you will be fine.........

Enjoy.................
