New Columbus 320RS Owner!

Just put a down payment on a new 320RS last weekend. This is one sharp unit. Anyways I'm loving all the great tips/insight on this forum. Unfortunately our campground doesn't open until May 1'st so this will be torture for the next 3 months waiting. While it is still at the dealer i was thinking about having the dryer vent put in just in case I want to add the washer/dryer in the future. My questions is can anyone who has one post a picture of where the vent would be located on the outside of the unit? I want to make sure the dealer cuts the hole in the right spot. Not sure if it matters where it goes depending on if I go with the combo unit or separate washer/dryer. Thanks in advance for all your help. I can't wait to go camping now!!!!

Congratulations on your new rig. I agree that the 320RS is a beautiful rig. We ended up ordering the 295RL as we wanted to stay under 35'.

We are in a reverse situation: we have reservation to camp this weekend but we don't have our Columbus yet... hopefully it'll be ready by Friday!

Congrats on your new Columbus 320RS. It's a very nice and popular floorplan.

Just my 2cents worth of Advise. I wouldn't put the dryer vent in wall until you really decide to install a washer/ dryer

Can I ask why you don't recommend adding the vent? The camper will be permanently on site so I really could not bring it to the dealer later. That is why I was thinking about adding the vent now while it's at the dealership.

Yep we are all waiting to get back in to our Columbus rigs in the snow belt. 320RS is very popular and you will enjoy yours also.

It would be wiser to wait for the vent installation. You can more precisely locate the vent depending on what kind of dryer you get.
Whoever installs the washer/dryer should be able to install the vent.

Congrats on the new digs. I don't know if I'd put a vent until I was installing the washer/dryer either. I can think of a few issues I'd rather avoid right off the top of my head. But, in any case here's the best pic I have right now of the vent on ours. I can't stand the fact that its white and i'm probably going to see about removing it to paint.

This is our unit on the dealers lot since they've yet to take it down. It shows the vent much better.

Thanks Capt for the picture. The one the dealer would install is chrome. I think that would stand out even more! Maybe I should wait.

It was the first and I think only thing I asked them to change on mine. The only other option was Chrome they told me. I said i'd keep the white. The service guy told me it had two screws and then it would slide off. I'm going to check this next week when I return home, and if it's true I see a few coats of Krylon Fusion Black spray paint in the near future.

We just put our deposit on a 320RS yesterday. Two years of shopping around and we are quite pleased with our choice. It will be built in time for spring. We hope to get started camping in August. July is too nice here at home.
