New Columbus Model

Has anyone seen the new F340RK? (if you have, sorry, I have not seen it until now) I googled the model and looked at the pictures, it's a rear kitchen model. It's nice, but I like the 320 for us. Just an FYI.

I agree, I showed a couple our 320 and they loved it. I like the island that moves, great feature when you have a few folks inside

I have a 2009 chevy 2500HD gas and it does a very nice job. Now i have to say that i've only pulled twice since i got the Columbus because i got it so late in the year. We have a few long trips planned next summer so that will be the true test. I really think i'm going use a lot more fuel.

Towing the unit is actually very nice and felt better than my old fifth wheel.

We have a 2011 2500 and it hauls the 320RS without a problem!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the combo We have haul on interstate and state highways. Also, through the "mountains" of northern Arkansas!! A bit of chucking but I believe you would get that with any FW without the trail air ride (wish we had gotten that)

there is no 340RKS. did you get the 320RS, which has the island option or a 340RK, which has no island option.

Actually , you are right RKS and it has that island thing or bar between the kitchen and living areas. And we ordered it without that.

oh, you mean the bar/countertop that extends out, when the slide is put out.

i'm really interested in the Columbus 340RK, since the DW only likes rear or front kitchen models. please post your impressions when you get it.

the closest Columbus dealer is 30 miles away but they'll be getting the 340RK in soon, so we'll actually be able to look at it.

What kind of vehicle? I went with the Reese Elite 18K and the 5th airbourne sidewinder. Haven't tried it yet, but it should do well. I did tons of research before making my decision, and may be overkill, but I shouldn't have any issues with turning.

So I'm looking to purchase a new 32 RS Columbus. Any suggestions on must have's? This is my first 5th wheel, and next I need to buy a tow vehicle. Any suggestions helps.

this thread is about the new 340RK model.

there are tons of other threads on the 320RS, in the Columbus sub-forum. lots of new owners there to help you.

I think Big Daddy's RV website is the one where I saw pictures.

The pictures are actually from the Louisville RV Vendor Show the other week, but maybe they got the rigs since they are close.

I swear by my B&W Companion hitch. It was more expensive than others out there, but it's quality is amazing and there's virtually zero-chance of high-hitching and not knowing it.
