I do suggest performing a thorough pre delivery service & walk around with a knowledgeable person from your dealer. We had the salesman AND a technician do ours.
Take notes, take pictures, ask questions, and operate EVERYTHING. That includes all faucets (including inside & outside), the TV & stereo (inside & outside), all the light switches, all kitchen appliances, BOTH A/Cs, operate the slides a few times each, and make sure your 3 LP tanks are full.
I ended up labeling the switches with a label maker as there are so many.
Columbus makes a beautiful rig, we really liked the 365RL, but it was a bit too much for my 2500.
Once you get finished with the PDS, go enjoy it!

2Retired & Ready -Yes, ENJOY!! I have been out on weekends & spent the week of the 4th living in my Columbus 320RS. Love the space inside, enjoy the outdoor space under the awning.....we are also preparing to "retire" and live in this rig. Our biggest fear is learning it's height, for this is our first 5th wheel.....so far, all wires & underpasses have been high enough! I recommend the stuff zucchini recipe in the cookbook that comes with the microwave/conv. oven in the Columbus!

Dear Barpat-

I also am concerned re: height of our soon-to-be delivered 320RS. In anticipation of that, I bought a sonar sensing device that measures height of my FW in comparison to whatever obstruction the RV is passing under. I've tried it on our storage trailor & it works just great. I will know exactly how much clearance I will have with the 320. The unit is called: GiraffeG4 Truck Protection System. I paid $180 for it & consider it good insurance. See GiraffeG4 : Overhead Protection System

We are excited to get our 320 next month so that we also can enjoy what it has to offer just as you folks seem to be doing with yours!

What repairs/etc have you had to have done so far?

Hope to meet you on the road sometime

Mark/Jeannie

Funny you should ask -FW is in the shop as we chat, Ours was built in Feb/March so hopefully our item list has been corrected at the factory for you. Right now we are getting the antenna cable thru out the FW including all connections. Multiple post on this issue. Our Black water flush was connected backwards & ended up with a staple hole in it. "molding" over ceiling seams came unstuck, look under the carpet at the inside corners of both large slides -plastic corner cover issue. Light over table loosen a nut, swinging as we drove home from camping & broke the glass shade/frayed the wires -(emailed for a replacement & we received it in 3 days ) & bottom rail of shower doors
feeds the water out to the floor instead of into the shower. Some items fixed by us, some by a local RV dealer...The Columbus rep -Bryan - is terrific. I will check out the GiraffeG4 Truck Protection System, Thanks, wonder if you can get an insurance discount for this giraffeG4? We are looking to camp near/in Ithaca NY in Aug, Holley NY for Labor Day & somewhere for Columbus weekend. More if diesel fuel prices stay the same... Happy Camping!
