New Compass 340RKC

Good afternoon everyone,
We just wanted to say hello and state how happy we are with our new 340RKC. It is very roomy and has a lot of features that other brands did not even consider options. We had 1 issue so far, a water leak into the basement area from behind the shower that took a couple of attempts by the RV dealer in Ocala, Fl. to repair and now everything is wonderful.
We are traveling throughout the Southeast and staying for a month at a time and enjoying every minute of it. Even our choice of tow vehicle has been a good decision for us. We purchased a new Ram 2500 Crew Cab with 8' bed, 6.4L Hemi and 4.10 Differential. It averaged just under 9mpg through the hills of South Carolina and Tennessee and did not struggle once.
We weighed the unit together at 20,200# and the truck full of gas and both of us aboard at 7500# which was 12,700# for the 5th wheel. The Ram is rated to pull 15,800# max so we are very satisfied with that. Wish us luck in our new retirement adventures and hope to see some of you one day at a FROG rally. Navypoppop & Irisheyes

Welcome to the Columbus family.
We are on our first “long” shake down cruse with our new Columbus 340RK... love the layout. We are keeping a punch list of items to be fixed when we return. Fortunately we have a great dealership who is very helpful.
Enjoy your 340RKC and retirement.
Have a great Navy Day

Nice to hear your happy with the trailer and truck combo. We have the same truck with 6ft bed pulling 295RLC and have experienced similar mpg numbers and experience. Enjoy your travels...

Just bought a 2018 2500 6.4 4.10. I only tow 9300 lbs and only have two tows with it so far. Average about 10.1 mpg. Not bad IMO.
Nice to see your review as we're looking at getting a larger 5th wheel within the year to travel more.

Welcome Aboard. We love our 2017RKC Columbus. Have towed over 40,000 kms so far without any major issues. Get yourself a TPMS to take some of the worry away about tire failure and have fun.

We have a 2015 f250 6.7 diesel pulling a 366rlc. Pulling from Asheville, NC to south LA we got 10mpg at 70 mph. Very satisfied.
