One night Stands

Ok, now that I have your attention....
How many of us are willing to setup for just one night?
We were celebrating my in-laws 50th and we brought our camper for extra beds, even though it's only a 30 minute drive and only one night. It was actually quite nice. We didn't get all the "stuff" out as it was Just a place to shower and sleep. Maybe it's due to our auto leveling system, but it was well worth it in my opinion

Just made me wonder if my normal 2nite minimum is normal or not?

If staying for one night we will leave the 5er hooked up to the truck unless it's really out of level and needs to be leveled.

Made three overnight stops last year, pulled the pigtail leveled as best I could ran the slides out then cooked dinner.

The overnight in NV was hot so I fired the gen up and watched tv with the AC running nice like.

I dont think i would unless i could dump at the house or wherever i was or could at least dump gray. The 30 minute pull would help and the auto level too. I guess a, only-once-in-awhile 1 nighter wouldnt be too bad.
Im getting lazy being on a permanent site i guess. But i still do the same thing every weekend that i would do if i was hauling it except for moving the slides, leveling and the hookups. But i still haul the boat home with us every weekend.
I just got a new truck so i might haul the camper more next year.....doubt it, but at least id feel better about it. Probably just go more places with the boat and motel it.

I'll camp whenever we have the chance. If I only have one night, so be it. Even to the point that we will set up the entire camper including the outside tv. I've gotten setting up our TTTH down to 20 minutes. Tearing down is still an hour process. I even solo camp with our 17month old for just a night. We have a big time. For some reason, I'd rather be camping than relaxing at the house. Guess, I'm getting ready for full timing 20 years from now.

One nighters are better then none! Takes me about 15-20 minutes to set up everything. I guess that's a class A for ya.

I'm on the BBQ competition circuit and do 5 to 6 competitions a summer. Try to keep it to the ones less than 200 miles from the house. Setup Friday and pulling out Saturday's around 4:30 5. It's a quick turn around but it's worth the creature comforts. :-)

Just home from an Alaska trip in our 320RS of 70 days out on the road. We had a lot of one night stays and once we got use to setting up and down it wasn't even much of a bother. In fact it got to be one of the chores that we looked forward too.

I agree with Oldgold above. I'll set up for one night (or more!) any chance I get.
We just finished 2 nights in a parking lot 30 minutes from home. Setup/Teardown is what it is - but the worst day setting up camp is better than the best day sitting at home!

Some of our best stops have been one night stands. Typically while on the move long distance but noticed that time tends to throttle back when you happen upon a really nice site - even if it's only an overnighter.

We do that all the time. We'll take it to a casino 30 mi away and dry camp in their RV lot just so we don't have to drive back late after a show. We've even ordered pizza and had it delivered to our "site". and clearly we were not the first to do so because they asked what the lot marker we were near.

Do it all the time when going to FL and returning or going anywhere over 250-300 miles. Not a problem, we just stop, hook up elec, water & sewer, level and watch tv for a while and go to bed. 15 minutes in the morning and we are on our way again.

I guess it depends on your definition of setup...

But with power everything setup is really not such a big problem. So yeah I would/have setup for an overnighter.
