If I was going the Ford Dually route ( but I'm not!)...F450 would be at top of the list

My friend owns a ford dealership and gives me dealer cost on vehicles. The difference between the 2013 F350 Lariat DRW and the 2013 F450 Lariat was $2000. Since i thought i needed the stability i chose the dually. Since I don't see too many F450's on the road and not much difference in price I ordered it. 8 weeks before it comes in.

Congrats...great tow vehicle...enjoy!

I am a ford guy but to be honest I like the look of the chev better. Looks taller than the ford, not sure if it is to tall for a 5th wheel.

Congrats on a great truck! Last year, when I was making the same decision, I ended up with the F-350 dually because my insurance company (USAA) wouldn't insure the F-450. They would insure it through their subsidiary at higher rates. There wasn't much difference in the two so I went F-350 dually. Lesson learned is check insurance before buying a large TV.

with 2 small kids I thought that all the juice and pop they spill will ruin the nice looking rawhide seats.
rawhide or leather, kids will spill stuff. maybe some washable seat covers for the back seat are in order?

I do not let them drive any of my cars, so they can take, the bus, taxi, walk, or ride their bikes. I refuse to pay for insurance if they refuse to get jobs!!!

amen brother, amen. my 17 yo son wants to drive my 53 ford to school someday. my insurance doesnt care who drives it provided they have 6 yrs driving experience. high school parking lots are notorious for folks not reporting they just hit your car too.
