People Ask...Is Two AC's Worth It?!
You bet, heat index got us to 100 today, parked in full sun with no shade, campground predominately concrete & asphalt...we chillin

Def worth it. We had both on during the heat of the day at Myrtle Beach. We averaged 15 deg cooler then the outside temp and a lot less humid

Just bought my first TT and it has a double AC. Served us VERY well this weekend. 103-105 deg outside, nice and frosty 70 deg inside!

I would say yes.
Last week our A/C went out at home. Went and got the camper from storage cave and it was a nice 68 degrees inside. set the A/C to 74 for the day. It popped 98 degrees outside, camper stayed nice 74.
However, in July we were on a Colorado trip. Set-up at night and it was about 90 degrees (104 that day in western Kansas), took forever to cool the unit down.
A second A/C when travelling would have made a big difference in the cool down period.

Yup. As with everything- there are always trade offs. The noise level in our bedroom is the negative.
But, truth be told- I would definitely consider a third if it were offered for the bunkhouse.

Re the noise, while sleeping we use the living area a/c...both feed into the same ducting system.
Of course while not sleeping we use the one in the bedroom.
There's also the option to have them feed into the duct, or blow directly from the bottom grills of the a/c. I've found feeding into the duct to be much quieter/better, especially while watching TV.
When first firing 'er up, we open the direct vents instead of going thru the ducts, seems to cool down quicker that way.
Optional 2? absotively geaux for it! (heh, spellcheck doesn't like those words) *smirk*
Right now "Francis" is sitting in the back yard, hooked to shore power with the bedroom a/c set at 82. She's chillin like a mug....but she's also sitting under 3 huge live oak trees. If not for that she'd need the LR a/c going to make 'er comfy.
(heat index well over 100 here today)

I have almost the exact same floorplan only mine is the Tracer 3150BHD instead of the Lacrosse, and my unit came factory prepped for a second A/C. Since yours is also a Prime Time, I am curious about a few things:
1) Where is the second unit located?
2) Does it plumb into the existing duct work?
3) If ducted, is there a separate thermostat for it?
4) Does it help keep the bunkhouse cooler? My BH is usually noticeably hotter than the rest of the coach, which I think is because there's only one vent and it's the 4th and final one on that duct
5) Was it factory installed or dealer installed?

Has anyone added a second AC to the front bedroom on a Sabre 32bhok? Mine is framed, wired and has a stat on the bedroom wall I was just curious how all of that worked with the duct work.
I read another post about going back and foil taping all of the vent connections because they were originally done pretty poorly at the factory, I did that this last weekend, I'm sure it helped some but not like a second AC would and a good point above about if one goes down you have another.

Not a 32, but a 34tbok. Same as your setup though.
1 Remove existing vent from opening.
2 find 110v power next to opening
3 find suitable 12v power in ceiling (I used the wires going to the closet light)
4 set unit on roof, centered over opening
5 line up lower flange and install 4 bolts to squeeze the upper and lower pieces together making a tight seal
6 hook up power, 12v and thermostat wires to controller and mount in lower AC unit
7 turn power breaker on and play a game of "freeze out"

Thanks, sounds like about a 30 minute project, haha...... I've read that the hardest part is getting the new unit onto the roof

It can be. I used a bobcat ahead set it on from in the bucket. Easy, even by myself. My hardest part (probably cause I was solo) was getting the upper unit centered over the hole. You can't slide it or you'll lose the seal. Still not too bad
