Departed lower Alabama Friday 0330am with my trade-in in tow heading 240 mile to Atlanta, Ga. Stopped a couple of times to kick tires. 50 miles from dealer stopped to get something to eat and what do I find on my walk around is a flat in TT
. Did I bring my box of tools and jacks (NO) "I won't need them I'm only going to Atlanta". Bought screwdriver to remove cover, I was barely smart enough to bring my 4 way lug wrench, used the truck jack to chang tire. Now I'm 30 minutes behind my appointment time to have my 5th wheel hitch installed. While hitch is being installed Tim at Norman Campers and I performed the PDI (Great Dealer worth the 240 mile drive). About 1530,
There I am a proud owner of a new 5th wheel headed south. About 100 miles from home in the middle of nowhere
BANG I have a BLOW OUT on the right rear of the truck at 1700 hrs. Pulled over and the right is on the dirt. Did I say I didn't bring any wood blocks or tools (NOOOOOOO, I'm only running up to Atlanta). From my practice of changing the tire on the TT it only took me 25 minutes in 101 degree weather to change the tire. Arrived home safe and sound at 2000 hours. Hope everyone gets a good chuckle because if we don't laugh, life would be pretty boring. I figured out a long time ago when camping, it's not if somthing is going to happen but when? Hopefully it won't cost you to much money.
HAPPY CAMPING, BECAUSE I SURE AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
