Pullrite Hitch Install

I installed my hitch today. After I had all the mounting hardware installed I pulled the hitch from the box to find this.

I've contacted pullrite and hoping they come through for me with a new hitch since this one was damaged at the warehouse or during shipping.

Man did someone do real damage to that one.

I let the dealer install my 16K because of the holes needed for it.

Pullrite Hitch Install

Sad part was the box wasn't messed up bad at all. I was shocked. Didn't see it until I was trying to figure out why it wouldn't sit down on the back rail

Pullrite hitches and there customer service is top notch. They will help you any way they can. Although you may have to go thru whoever you purchased the actual hitch from. Good luck

I called Friday and spoke to Julius and he is suppose to be calling me back today. I'm still waiting for the call. I have my fingers crossed that they come through for me.

Thanks for the info. I called Leslie and left her a voice message. I also emailed her the pictures of the damage to the hitch.

Okay here is the whole story. On Friday I called Tweety's RV since they were who I actually ordered the hitch through. I spoke to Westley Morris. He has been very helpful. He recommended that I also call Pullrite and talk with them while he was working on it on his end. He was afraid they wouldn't replace the hitch because it was delivered on January 28th and I just called him on the 7th to report the damage. However, once I explained to him that it was delivered on 28th, I tried to install on the 29th but when I began installing the mounting hardward (B&W Adapter and Superrail Model #4431) I learned the mounting hardware was defective so I had no reason to open the box with the hitch in it to see the damage. I told him I called pullrite and they acknowledged right away that some of the adapters were drilled wrong and they would ship me a new one. The new part was delivered on Monday Feb. 3rd and due to family and work responsibilities I didn't have an opportunity to install the hitch until Friday Feb 7th. This changed his tune but he still recommend calling pullrite. He said they would only replace it once and its best to go ahead and talk with them and not to worry about getting to many people involved. So I called and talked with Julious at Pullrite. He was very helpful and said he would be in touch with me today, Monday Feb. 10th. I've not heard from him yet. I also called and emailed Leslie at pullrite today.

For good measure I emailed Westley to follow up to see if he had made any progess. He replied back almost immediatly and said he was shipping out a new hitch to me today. Now I hope I'm not speaking to soon. I've not seen the tracking number and the hitch hasn't arrived yet but all things so far are looking positive.

In case you can't tell I'm a little impatient when it comes to stuff like this. I actually tried to straighten the hitch but had no luck. When talking to pullrite I was honest with them that I tried to straighten the hitch and even if it could be straightened I didn't want my first fifth wheel hitch that I just spent over $1,000 to be buggered up right off the bat.

Sorry for the long post. I will report back once the new hitch arrives safe and sound at my house.

I agree open the box and look it over before you sign the truck drivers receipt . I also bought mine from tweetys back in December. They were the cheapest and excellent to deal with. Super fast shipping as well.

Just ordered mine from Tweetys a week ago and it arrived today. Thanks for forcing me to open the box and check it out while the driver was still there. All good here. So far my interactions with PullRite have been stellar. I can't imagine they would do anything except make it right.

I wanted to post an update. I finally received my new hitch yesterday and this one is in perfect shape. I can say that Pullrite and Tweetys RV online store stepped up and made it right. I have nothing but positive stuff to say about either of them. It took a little longer for the new one to arrive but it was due to the snow and ice. I will post a picture of my set up shortly.

This is my setup. Superglide 4100. I had the B&W turnover ball in the truck so I used the B&W conversion kit with super rail system pull rite offers. Install was fairly simple.
