Puma 27RLSS

Wife and I WERE going to go with a HTT (Shamrock 233S) due to the bed situation and comfortably sleeping 4 adults. After doing a little more browsing we came across the 2017 Puma 27RLSS - we think it will work just as well with the sleeper sofa comfortably sleeping two other adults. Love the floor plan, color scheme and it has the majority of the options and craftsmanship we liked in the Shamrock - both being FR products, I guess that makes sense. My only initial concern is the electric stabilizers...really don't like the idea of the motor going out while out camping and having to deal with that. I get it, some people like the convenience of electric and it's great while they work, I don't generally "borrow trouble" but I've always been a bit leery of too much technology. That being said, we could get this - have 10+ years of flawless operation and that would just be great.

Now back to reality, I'd welcome any comments on the electric stabilizers, your experiences with them, possible mods, etc. In addition, I'd welcome any comments on the Puma 27RLSS in general...appreciate all feedback. I've been combing through related threads on here for the last 48 hours and have gotten lots of great ideas, suggestions and feedback - love this site!

Thanks all -

I've has electric and manual stabilizers. Never had an issue with either functioning. I did have some bolts come loose. My new TT is manual all the way around. I don't miss them.

There is no problem if the motor quiets. You can manually crank them if you have to.
