Puma 30QBSS fresh water inlet

The fresh water inlet has a thread to it like an adapter goes on it. Not the one your fresh water hose goes to but the one that fills the water tank. Can anyone advise? Click image for larger version

I believe that the threads are for the cap. Neither of our Pumas had adapters. Just put a hose or tube in the opening to fill the fresh water tank.
