Puma 30QBSS fresh water inlet

The fresh water inlet has a thread to it like an adapter goes on it. Not the one your fresh water hose goes to but the one that fills the water tank. Can anyone advise?

I believe that the threads are for the cap. Neither of our Pumas had adapters. Just put a hose or tube in the opening to fill the fresh water tank.
