PVC conduit from roof to basement or forward compartment Columbus 320rs?

On the facebook Columbus forum someone said their Columbus 320rs has a pvc conduit from the roof to either the basement or forward compartment that's concealed under the rubber roof covering.

I've looked in both compartments and haven't found one but if it exists it would be perfect for one of my next projects. I'm in the process of installing a Wilson cellular repeater to boost my cell phone signal that's used for my cell phone, internet hotspot, and alarm system. I will be placing an antenna on the roof, the repeater in the basement and the interior antenna in the rear living area to keep the two antenna's seperated.

The path above would be perfect if it exists, if not I will route it through the opening for our satellite cable that goes from the roof into the bedroom where the coax cable box is, and than down into the plumbing space behind the dresser and than down to the basement. However the above keeps the cell coax cable away from the satellite coax cable.

Anyone know?

I guess the answer must be no as lot's of people viewed the post but don't know about a conduit. Maybe Christopher Columbus will enlighten us?

Is it a water drain line vent ????

My impression was that it was intended for adding electrical or coax cables if the rubber roof covers the opening.

We put a PVC pipe running from roof to basement in around 6 months ago. It was another improvement designed to allow any wiring of an object placed on roof so wire can run thru pipe. It will have a cap on top of it that you can take off . Off door side close to above the storage area below . Hope this helps

Thanks Chris - that's a big help, and another one of the thoughtful ideas that makes our Columbus' so great.

I do have another question about roof mounting... are the roof trusses wood or aluminum, and how far apart are they? I am planning to mount 2 100-watt solar panels on top and would like to mount brackets to the trusses.

If I can't find a truss what it the best mounting for that roof, well nuts or mollies, etc.?

Our 295RL has a manufacture date of 1/16/13.

I went on the roof and there's no evidence of a pipe or cap on either side of the roof. I looked in the pass thru compartment and the only pipe/cap is the black cap under the shower area. Any ideas?

Chris- Is it the black pipe and cap locate just in front of the shower skylight as pictured below? That would correspond to the black pipe that comes out in the top of the storage area, if so.

I am guessing mine doesnt have this as both of my pipes are about 6 inches apart in the center of the roof just behind the front AC unit. Mine was made in August I think..

I know the two pipes you are referring to. Here's another photo showing all of the vent pipes on my 295RL, a total of 4.

There should be three to vent the waste tanks; black, galley and bathroom. So I would assume the 4th one on mine, just in front of the skylight, would be the conduit for wiring, etc.

That black pipe goes all the way to the storage compartment not far from the docking station and has a black plug on the bottom. I thought it might be some kind of drain but I will check it out tomorrow and post the results.

OK - I researched it this morning and took photos... on our 295RL which was manufactured 1/16/13 we do have a conduit running from the roof to the basement near the docking station.
On the roof it looks like a waste tank vent and in the basement it looks like a plumbing clean-out plug.
I've posted pictures and arrows here to point it out...

I was up there today and I only have the 2 in the center, I do not have 4. I looked and I also do not have the pipe in the basement either. I guess mine was built in early August so it doesn't have it.

Scott - A while back you suggested running wires through the power vent in the bathroom. I checked that out and it is a great alternative since you can run the wires right down through the closet to the controls area, and then there's a direct shot through the basement to the batteries in the front for solar, or in other directions for other devices you might install.
