Rain spouts/run off

We purchased a 2016 Sabre 33ckts this year and had a question for others with similar model. We noticed on our last trip during a rain storm that the gutters on the left side of the entry door cause the area right in front of the door to get wet. Since the awning stops short of the slide (which it has to with the mounted wall arm) the gutter on the top of the awning rail shoots the water down between the slide in awning. I attached a picture with a red square around the gutter I am talking about.

Just wondering if anyone had a fix for that?

Thanks
Gary

There's supposedly a trick with a rope. The water follows the rope to wherever you want it. Don't recall all of the details.

We have a 2015 model and we noticed that that particular spout would get caught in the awning arm when retracted. Sabre told me they didn't have a "short" version of the spout in the cream color. I took a pair of tin snips and cut it to clear the awning arm. I haven't noticed an issue with the water pouring down to cause an issue. Then again--if it's raining--I'm indoors!

i agree if it is raining I am inside as well but sure makes it a mess right in front of the door. wondering if the gutter is level that if I put a dab of silicon in that end would it force it out the other end. Guess all I can do is try.

I have a spout that dumps on top of a slide WHICH LEAKS! When I think it's gonna rain, I stick a piece of plastic tubing on it, fasten it with a cable tie and hang the end of the tube off the top of the slide. You could use a longer tube and put the end under the trailer.

I've used 1/2" clear tubing and shoved it over the end of the spout then put the other end where you want it

The real term is called a chain leader. I have installed many in my years of HVAC and sheetmetal. They do work down a chain, never hear of a rope. In fact at the SF museum in Goldengate park they are installed there or use to be.
