Doug, make sure to lube your wheel bearings. It took 2 tubes of grease in mine just to see it start coming around the front bearing

I cant believe that they are not greased before leaving factory or dealership. I brought mine home 700 miles one way and after reading it on this forum. checked my axles. No grease and one didnt even have a zirc in it! Today is the first of March. Hope your caper showed up on time and your PDI goes well.

These axles are assembled and greased from the axle manufacturer "ready to go" and the wheel bearings are just packed much like older car bearings whereas you pack the bearing and not the whole hub.

exactly no wheel bearing would last 700 miles without lube!

Thanks for the measurement, this is what I was looking at getting since I do not have a machine shop to make one.

In Michigan you have to have a Recreational Double Endorsement non you license so I refer to it as that.

The cheapest of the 2 quotes that I received were 700.00, I wish I knew people around here with welders.

Any special requirements or do you just need to pay the bucks?

A few but simple, just pay for the endorsement and pass the test, I think it is an extra 10 bucks. There are a few requirements on the towing you can read about them here

Thank You for the link.

The hitch used to tow the second trailer must
be attached to the frame of the fifth-wheel trailer.
Safety chains for the second trailer must be securely
attached at the extreme outer edge of the fifth-wheel
trailer with a locking mechanism.
Looks like the tough part to meet.

Not really, just have something welded or bolted to the outside frame ends because that is the most stable part, I had loops welded on my last 5er and they worked well
