Looks nice. I plan on doing something similar in the spring. I phone prime time to ask if it was ok to mount a trailer hitch on the frame. All they would say that it would void my warranty and he said that since my trailer was over 2 years old that warranty was not a problem. IMHO if you build it and have a safety done it will be ok. It still might break the frame but that is a chance you take doing any mods, big or small on any part of your trailer or truck for that matter. Just MHO

looks nice, not sure how my factory`s hitch is built since it too cold and too much snow to go out back and look , but I over engineer everything and gussets would attach the tubes together, but if I remember it looks like how yours is built

Mine that I built is similar but the ears that bolt it to the frame are longer. Mine are 30" long to spread the load out and get it off the rear of the frame. Looks good though. should give you years of service.

I had a welder/fabricator build one for the rear of my Sabre, only cost about $250.00 and you can't tell that it isn't factory. I pull a small motorcycle trailer with one motorcycle. Only about 70lbs hitch weight and 700lbs total.

I would not advise doing this at all. Towing lengths vary from state to sate and you could get into trouble from one state to another. And to be blunt, it's just not safe. And, I have heard a lot of discussion on this topic, that the minute you, start towing with your RV a lot of the warranty is voided. So, good luck!

Dont understand how you can say this??? my unit came with a 300/3000 factory installed hitch to do this exact thing , TOW. Here in MI we can tow double up to 65ft total length, nothing unsafe about it.

Respectfully I have to dis-agree with you. I have been doing it for years, you have to be mindful of lengths, weights and widths. Attachments are all secure, adjust your driving habits and be comfortable doing it!

Don't see it as unsafe either. Maybe if you do it its unsafe, but as blanket statement. Not buying it. Just have to know your limitations.

Finished the rack for the generator or storage tub, now I can carry all of my electrical and water hoses behind in and easy access place. Then when I use the generator 2 times a year I can pull it off and strap the honda eu3000is down.
