Roadmaster Active Suspension
I was just going too respond to the other posts about this but it would not let me as the were to old. So I started a new one. I bit the bullet and purchased this for my truck. I will say it was on of the simplest installs that I have done on my truck. It took less than an hour from start to finish. I have not drove it but I will on Wednesday when I pick up my 5er and I will provide another update after that. So I just want to share the pictures that were taken during the install. The first pic is of my truck backed up against the 5th wheel but not hooked up. The next one is with my truck hooked up and you can see the sag. The rest are of the installation. If you have any questions feel free to ask!!!

Similar to adding an extra leaf to your springs although it does give you the convenience of removing them.

Yes it does, probably easier to remove than install. I am real interested to see how it rides. In case you do not know anything about them here is the link to their page

So @Syencer...How did it work out? I'm currently on the RAS/Airbag fence myself and would really like to hear how you did with the RAS...

Well I have only pulled my 5er once since I put them on and that was home from the dealership when I picked it up from repair. As for the ride it seems to be quite a bit smoother when pulling it kind of feels like it is floating. It pulled great before, but now even better. On rough roads it rides better as well the springs are absorbing all of the bumps now instead of the frame. I am pleased so far, I am actually taking it this weekend on a trip I can update again next week. So far I am impressed. the only thing I was hoping for was less sag, and there was, but not as much as I wanted.

I am nou quite sure it is sagging all that much, I also have Suspension Maxx on the front and makes the front end sit higher. I am thinking it is an optical illusion. I will measure it once I get it on level ground.I will lt you know as well

Ok I just went on our first trip this weekend and it pulls real nice with RAS on my truck. Not as bouncy like it used to be. As for the sag it is not sagging like I thought it was I will post up a picture. Overall they are doing what I wanted them to do.

Awesome...glad they worked out. I too am at my pin weight limit and as much as I want an "install it and forget it" answer, I'm still on the fence between the RAS and the Airlifter 5000. I'll post a pic when I get it figured out.
Thanks again for your input.

I hope I am not raining on your parade, but when I first got My Excursion I had planned this upgrade. At the time everyone on The Excursion forum lived the RAS system. Then some people reported their system letting go under load. Apparently the shackle end would split on the spring. When they let go, it was under pressure and they did some damage. The more I read, the more afraid I was. I ended up canceling my order (which was actually back ordered at the time, again very popular. ) I ended up doing a spring upgrade instead.
I would make inspecting these past of your pre trip routine.
