Rolling Kitchen Island in Columbus

Happy New Year!

My wife and I are looking at a Columbus 320RS that has the Rolling Kitchen Island. She is a bit concerned about how that island behaves during travel. For those of you who have one, can you tell me the pros and cons of that particular feature?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

The 'nails' in Glenns only stuck out a 1/4"..........Must be decent provisions for securing the island. What's in the island?

Yep! In a moveable island, if it contains a sink, they drill a hole in floor?

Good morning, Youroo. Happy New Year to you and your bride.

Two things: First, Glenn's island was not DESIGNED to roll. If he would drive on the road instead of cross-country, he wouldn't have that problem. Second, Yvonne and I are only in the looking stage right now...no decision at all. We both still love the Windjammer.

Bob, it is counter top with storage underneath...no plumbing or utilities. It is on lockable casters. We are told that when the opposing slides come in, it fits securely between them. Our question is, does it STAY securely in place and ride well?

My friend had one he just traded for a Cedar Creek. I watched him close his up when he left my house once.

I though I saw him put a couple of straps on it. Then ran the slides in. That thing could of never moved while in transit.
