Sabe 35qsik Dual A/C Question

Hello,

I just wanted to confirm that when you order dual A/C's from the factory the front unit is ducted just like the main A/C?

Also if the front A/C is added later it is NOT ducted?

Thanks,

Wlhm

The 36qsik is a new model it'll be hard pressed to find many whom have one.

I'll see if I can find out for you.

Ps getting the second air installed at the factory is way cheaper..

Ok that was quick.

If two a/c's are installed at the factory there are both ducted.

If only one is installed then the ducting is closed off where second a/c will go.

In simple terms the second a/c is "ducted" ready if only one is installed.

If Your dealer installs the second air he can either duct it or not as that would be up to you which way you want it and what cost suits you.

Imo get it from the factory and be done.

I added a second 15 I btu AC to our 34tbok myself, and it was easy to make it ducted. They simply foil tape off the duct work where you'd tie in the second AC. Actually, if not adding a second AC, I think I'd still open up the fan, or ceiling ducts, and seal it up so air isn't going further forward in the ductwork then needed.

X2...much cheaper to get second AC when you order your unit & it's not that much more of an expense relative to the total price your are already spending on the camper... a big plus for resell also.
