Smile Sabre 31RETS 1600 Mile Maiden Voyage

Well we have just completed our 12 day 1600 mile maiden voyage with our 2012 Sabre 31 RETS and love it. We had absolutely no problems with the camper and it tows great. This is our second Forest River product and are very please with it. We are very happy with the fit and finish of the Sabre 5th wheel. Don’t get me wrong, was there a couple of screws I had to tighten up and a seal that had popped out of it’s track, screen door to adjust yes but those kind of things are expected. One thing the DW tells me I have to fix though, and believe me I heard about it every morning is the shower water pressure. NONE it’s worse than taking a shower under one of those black bags. I can fix that. The other and it’s only for my convenience is a remote battery cut off switch. I just need to figure out where to place it.

Well we departed LA (lower Alabama) and headed to the beach (Topsail SP Destin, FL. Then we went to Savannah, GA (Skidaway Island SP) wife had to eat at Paula Deans. Love the history and river walk, very nice parks in Savannah. We then went up the road a little way to Charleston, SC (James Island County Park). We decided the to head to Nashville, TN (Cedars of Lebanon SP). If you like county music you have got to visit the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry and the country music hall of fame. Well our time was about up so we took a couple of days to head home and back to work for our next trip.

Can you tell what you plan on doing to fix the shower pressure? I have the same problem in my 2011.

Okay I fixed shower problem. I went to my local hardware store an purchased a remote shower head and hose for a moblie home/house. That fixed the problem. I don't have great pressure but I have great flow. (Wifeee is happy)I also unscrewed the head from the new hose and took the flow reducer out of the new head. The only thing is I have to go back and buy an adapter to turn the water off while washing if your concered with the amount of water use and tank size. It screws onto the faucet and then screw the hose to it so you don't have to turn the water on and off between rinses at the faucet. What I found was the restriction was in the shower head at the plunger that allows you to turn the water off at the shower head. There was about a 1/8th inch hole and no way to get in there and drill it out to a larger hole.

Great Mod, but did you consider the Oxygenics shower head. It's a common modification and a great improvement with water pressure. There is also the benefit of reduced water usage with this technology.

This is a great forum for research and info. I did but after checking I found a similer head at the local home improvement store for about half the price.
