I have a supercab with a 6'8" bed and a fixed, non-sliding hitch. I have to be careful when backing in some places so as not to jackknife. The truck cab can get into the 5er if you aren't careful. But I just jockey forward and maneuver 2 or 3 times to get into very tight spots. I haven't needed a slider so far, but when the time comes to buy another truck, I would consider one.
