Sabres

Are you guys moving your Sabres down the road or hanging mostly in one spot. We like to keep moving every few days. I know you all love your rigs but is anyone using them as a camper instead of a home?

Just curious how they are holding up.

Thanks

Mine moves up and down the road every time we camp !
I do have some pretty rough roads in the neighborhood but she's no worse for the wear!

We are primarily weekend warriors 34 nights last year !

I've towed mine for 60 nights and right about 5,000 miles.

There have been little "surprises" depending on road conditions. But overall, it has done alright (I've never had a RV before).

Weekend warriors here. Never had a problem and things held up very well on our last Sabre. New Sabre has been towed but never slept in yet (of course as soon as we get some decent weather that will stay this will change.)

That's the way I want to do it, someday!! Just go!!

Had my Sabre just short of 2 months, been to Alabama and Myrtle Beach with a trip planned to Charleston in a couple weeks. On a "stand by" list for something to pop up close by but it's the busiest State Park in SC and not having much luck. I'd be gone right now if I could be.........

Weekend warriors here too. The only issue we've had with ours is on our last trip we hit a rough spot or two in the road and ended up with some damage on the moveable center island. Apparently some bounce in the rear end was enough that the framing that holds the casters to the island broke loose. Working with the dealer to get that fixed now. We've always secured it between the chairs when travelling but from now on it will be strapped down to floor to eliminate bounce on rough roads.

I've been concerned about this happening. I secure my island between the chairs as well, and lock the wheels. I strap it down best I can with the thin black factory provided straps, but to be honest, I don't trust them. I am constantly checking them and worried about hitting a bump and the straps sliding off the counter top. I'm in the process of securing some 2" wide thick rubber straps, so that it doesn't slide off the counter, but still trying to determine how to secure them to the floor.
