Satellite Connection

I have purchsed a Wingard walk out and had a chance to try it out today and here's the problem. The unit works great because i've used it before trying it in the camper. I have a Columbus 320RS and when i hook the cable into the satellite connection outside the rig it doesn't connect. Fish the cable through the window and plug it directly into the Direct TV box and it works fine. this is true for both the living room tv and the bedroom.
I checked all wiring connections behind the wall plates both inside and outside, does anyone know if there is a splitter anywhere? Any other suggestions would be great....... Thanks ~

Did you try and shut it off regardless of separate plate?

use the "other" sat connection. The one alone is SUPPOSED to go to the bedroom.....
we have rean a cable through the basement to the bedroom for a second receiver....

I believe you have to shut off the antenna booster.

You will have to removed the connector cover's and switch the coaxial cables. We had the same issue. We found that the Antenna cable was connected to the Sat connector and vis-versa. Once we switched them, all was good. Good LucK!

Had the same problem on my 2012 Puma 31KBH. Splitter was in the roof above the living room swivel tv. As you know sat signal dont like regular splitters and you will have to use a SW44 or other switch. After contacting FR and talking to someone from the plant they told me the location of the splitter. On my 2014 365SAQ that I ordered I had put in a request to have all coax "home runs" without any splitters.

This has been a problem with a lot ot the Columbus models. Check your connections, they use twist on type connectors and nthey are horrible. I also understand that some of the connections have been reversed behind the wall plates, I have also heard that the connection in the outside conveience center is not connected behind the wall. Check everything before decidind which one to persue. Also the bedroom sat connection is not hooked up either.

Thanks for the replies. I have checked everything you are suggesting...... My satellite cables are orange and cable is gray, all connections behind wall plates are crimp type and tight. I have not tried turning off the booster behind the living room tv and not sure why that would effect anything because they should be two seperate circuits or feeds.

The booster switch won't have any effect on this. It sounds like maybe they put a staple thru the coax or managed to cut it. Warranty?

Columbus 365. Behind my living room TV is 3 connections: 1. Antenna/Cable 2. Satellite/Aux (runs to hookup in basement by water) 3. Satellite and have no idea where the other end goes. I am looking at a roof mounted dish and would like to know where the cable is.

columbus ties the two tvs together with splitter

The splitter doesn;t work with the satellite. We have the same configuration. You have to go underneath and get rid of the splitter. Wires must go directly to each tv and not be split. Go under the stairs.

The splitter show in the diagram, does work. With DirecTV satellite systems. In fact, it is the only way to get the signal to multiple receivers / TVs. The thing is, unlike many TV type splitters, the one shown is the correct frequency AND DC pass through.

I am using it in my house and in my camper. It does not work with the older dishes.

Satellite Connection

The splitter does work with the SWM3 dishes. Does not work with most dome dishes. I have a Winegard carryout automatic for when the trees block the roof mount. Then I can't use the splitter. Then we can only watch on one TV or run an extra cable from the Satellite to a second TV usually outside.
