Does anyone out there have one of these GT3.0 Genesis units that WILL work with an SD card... if so, please reply and give me a little hope... LOL
I know that they are supposed to play up to an 8GB and that they have to be formatted FAT or FAT32... I've tried 1, 2, 4 and 8GB cards... Different TVs... Even different RVs... so far we haven't been able to get one to work consistantly.. Only once in the six months that I've own the RV.

Are the files in a folder? I couldn't get mine to play music without putting the files loose on the SD card without any folders. This really sucks if you ask me because now I can't organize any of the music or create playlists. Not impressed with this system so far and the manual is pathetic.

Try this, on your computer create a 2Gb partition on that same 8Gb SD card and odds are good you will be able to read it

If you cannot do that, try to find an SD card 2Gb or smaller.

Good luck.

Fat32.....can be as big as 32gb

I was not commenting on the Fat32 limitations, as big as Fat32 can be, it is the radio itself that will not recognize anything bigger than 2gb. Well on my Concertone it is in fact the case. that is what I was explaining.

Don't know about the Genesis but our Concertone ZX75 wouldn't read an SD card larger than 2 GB and then only if the files were in the root directory (no folders).

This isn't an isolated problem. I gave up trying to view photos on SD card through Genesis. I just added it to my list of things that the RV industry can't quite get figured out.

Yeah, I'm about to get to that point myself.... Evidently Concertone knows that they have a problem, but they are reluctant to address the issue... Think what a "recall" would cost them.... That being said, they will not respond to any messages...

I have an older IPod with 32gb of space. I load all my songs, connect it to Aux1 port using an audio cable, works fantastic. The SD card reader, as implemented by Concertone, is essentially a useless feature...

My 2 cents.

Concertone / Genesis radios are no longer offered in any RV models. They have been replaced by a new supplier and radios (Model iRV).
