SD reader problem on GT-3.0 Genesis

First post so bear with me....
My RV, 2015 Sabre, has a GT-3.0 Genesis unit in it. We, the dealer and I, have been uable to get the SD card reader to read any card.. Cards are less than 8GB and formatted FAT32. The unit has been replaced once with the same results.. Dealer went to another RV on the lot and it has the same problem... I also changed to another TV and still doesn't work.. Unit is connected to TV by a HMDI cable... Radio and DVD seem to work OK... At times the unit appears to be reading the card, but no output video to the TV...

Tried to contact Bob Fields, who is supposed to be the Genesis Technologies guru, through an email address I found on the forum, but evidently the address is not current. Anyone got a current one?
Thanks,
88man

If I am not mistaken, you are limited to 2Gb in size with this radio ( FaT32) .

Try this, on your computer create a 2Gb partition on that same 8Gb SD card and odds are good you will be able to read it

If you cannot do that, try to find an SD card 2Gb or smaller.

Good luck.

Miatared and Turbs.... Thanks for the reply... We have tried 2, 4 and 8 gb cards.. Cards all work in computer and laptop... As I stated we have tried to get three different players to read SD cards and no luck... Since I'm not a dealer, I have been unable to get any response from the manufacturer...
When the weather lets up, I'll try the 2 gb card again....

It's not just the size- it sounds like you have to make sure it is formatted as "Fat32" and not "NTFS" (assuming Windows computer & laptop). When you format the card, you pick the type of file system.

Are you trying to get it to play video? The SD card can not serve large video files.

From the manual -

USB / SD Card
This unit allows users to play files stored on both USB and SD
cards including MP3 music, MP4 short video clips and JPEG photo files. The USB port will also charge many devices like iPods and MP3 players

If you are trying to play full movies, or I bet even HD video from a phone or Video Camera, I am guessing it will be a no go.

GT3.0 Genesis

Just trying to look at pictures off of a game camera.. After trying for months on three different units, it worked as advertised ONE time... Only had three pictures on the card... Took the SD card out and put it back in and it will not read it again... I believe that the unit thinks it is trying to read a CD rather than a SD card... Consistantly get a "No Disk" error... About 2% of the time it will actually show to load the pictures on the Genesis unit, but will not display the pictures on the TV.

Sent an email to Concertone Tech Support but as of yet, no reply.

Website says up to 8GB.

Quote:
SD/USB Compatibility: The front panel SD card slot and USB port are compatible with memory devices up to 8 GB and will play MP3, MP4, and JPEG files. The USB port will charge an iPod, but iPod audio is not transferred via USB.
