silly question

ok now that I have your attentions I have a question. Our new FW is coming equipped with slide toppers. We live in Missouri and sometimes have some wind with our storms. I almost always have the DH (Transporter) bring in the awning if it looks like a good storm. My question is............ will we have to bring all the slides in each time it storms?? It doesn't seem reasonable......... BUT!!!!
Thank you in advance for your advice on this matter......... I won't read Transporters answer......... he is sitting across the room saying NO NO NO!!! Poor guy!!!

Haven't you heard that the only dumb (silly) question is the one you didn't ask?
I read somewhere on this forum is to tighten a line over the slide topper so as to stop the wind from causing the topper to flop in the wind.

Our slides with toppers have been out in severe thunderstorms (tornadoes in the area) with no problems. They are pretty darn tough.

If the spring tension is set properly they should not flap either.
