I am having these installed this week on our Crusader. Ordered Carefree of Colorado "SideOut Kover III" from PPL Motorhomes. Paid $1,060 for three of them, dealer wanted $1,677. This model has a built in deflector to prevent the billowing of the slide out fabric, in addition they have a center cradle support on longer slides to prevent sag or natural bow due to gravity. Had them on the last 5th wheel and worked very well.

I just had them put on my 23ikss and I havnt really heard anything that supports not having them. It really helps keeping sticks and leaves off of them so you do not have to get up on top and brush them off everytime

I carry a electric Black & Decker yard blower. I keep it on hand while I camp, great for blowing clean campsite and awnings.
