Solar Controller

I just set up a 60 watt solar panel to charge my two 6 volt batteries hooked up in series.

The controller manual states the following:

“The value displayed in this interface is the float charge voltage setting. When the battery reaches this voltage, the controller will maintain the voltage value to prevent the battery from overcharging.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS SETTING SHOULD BE?

I do not want to set it too high so the battery gets fried. I would rather set it a bit low just to be safe. I will mostly be using this when the rig is in storage. Once in a while when dry camping.

Thanks

Mine (Renogy PWM) defaulted to 13.7 volts. I found the batteries slowly used water at that setting (had to top up every 2-3 months). I changed setting to 13.2 volts - now very little water usage.
Of note, while set to 13.2 volts, I often observe a voltage reading on the controller of 13.4 or 13.5 volts.

The specs can vary by type and mfg. For Trojan flooded 6V golf cart batteries Float Charge is 6.7V per battery so 13.4V

I have two Trojan T-105, brand new. I am currently at 13.4 but perhaps should come down to 13.2 for safety sake?
