Stuck in Wyoming

My dining room slide will not come in, major bummer. This is a mechanical system with two support toothed arms and what to me looks like a drive assy inside a tube that that retracts/extends the slide. The motor runs and I can feel the shaft turning but there is no movement of the slide so I figure that the mechanism that couples the driveshaft to the screw that moves the slide is Kaput...... Too bad it broke in the out position. I am in a very small town of Saratoga WY. I did get a mobile service to agree to come out from Laramie tomorrow and hope he comes through for me. We are near the end of our trip so we agreed if he could just get it retracted and locked in place we would call it a summer. The company that makes the tube/shaft assy is Venture Manufacturing which my repair guy informed was bought out by who else but Lippert.

Does anyone on a slim chance have any drawing of the screw assy? Repair guys says he has tried to repair in past but has never been successful. Says I need a new assy. This is all gonna cost me, Laramie is 100 miles away.

Well thanks for listening

Go to Lippert's website under Customer Service/ Support Center. They have videos, technical manuals, operator manuals, and drawings of their various slides. Don't know which one is yours, I think through the frame electric. Might be worth checking out before the tech gets there.
Good luck

Bad Acruator

It was a bad actuator assembly. Had to be totally removed and the slide cranked in by turning the cross member between the two slide arm gears with a pair of channel locks. The slide was tied in the closed position with a ratchet strap. Turing the shaft with he manual screw had no effect as the actuator assy was broken internally. The motor assy was fine. Now to figure out how to get a replacement. The tech was great, called when he left Laramie and took him about 75 minutes to complete. Total cost with 3 hours of driving was $256.00. Not too bad for getting back on the road from an isolated spot. Glad he was available and willing to drive the 200 miles.
