Last year a friend of ours had a 5th wheel and got one of those single wheel trailers with the two clamps or what ever it was to attach the thing to the 5th wheel. He carried a Gold Wing on it. As they were heading back to Canada from AZ the single tire came apart and it ran flat for quite a distance before someone could get his attention. Longer story short...He now has a toy hauler to carry his Gold Wing.
Those platforms are a neat idea but that little tire must be going around 10 times to one revolution of a regular tire. Nice concept but not very practical.

At least that's how I feel..

I don't have one and doubt I ever do but I have been thinking about this. I know foam filling the tires would make for a rougher ride but with the tortion bar I wonder if it would be tolerable. That would take the blow out situation out of the equation.

I believe a foam filled tire running at 65 MPH would over heat
very quickly and foam filled tires typically are very much out of balance.
It's nearly impossible to get the foam to fill the tire uniformly.
This is my personal opinion and not based on any research.....
