Weather forecast is crazy for mid February. It's been warm, with three days of 60's-70's. I'm thinking of loading essentials up, taking a vacation day, and pulling 75 miles to a state park that's open year round. Am I crazy? Seems a bit dumb to dewinterize for two nights, but I do t recall temps in feb like this either.

I understand how you feel. Would love to be able to go. Wouldn't blame you a bit for taking advantage of the weather. So I'm not talking you down.

Do it. It using that hard to winterize. Also you could stay winterized and just use the CG bathhouse.

If my fiver wasn't in the shop I would've been camping this weekend.

We have the same kind of forecast in the St Louis area this coming weekend and more.

I know a few people that are in a Polar Bear club. What say we start a Global Warming Warrior club and just go for it?

We all grew up with parents and might have told a wopper of two to explain why it was needed so badly.

Go for it, lay claim to being the first Sabre to hit a campground this season. If you don't, you'll lose the title to my RK Sabre next weekend. Use the bathhouse and avoid having to re-winterize, but it only takes us one gallon and 20 minutes to prep.

With weather like that there's no way I'm able to talk you down. As suggested you can leave it winterized if that is the main reason you are thinking its not worth it.

I have the opposite problem with my reservations for next weekend.

For all you folks camping this time of year, I'm jealous. We got 8" of snow this weekend.

Camped last November when the temps at night got down to the low 30s. Best campfire of the year. Off course you should go.
